These terms apply when you ask Sell My Chinese Car ("we", "us") for a valuation and when you sell a vehicle to us.

1. Valuations

1.1 Our offer is based on the information you give us about the vehicle, including its mileage, condition, battery health, history and any faults or damage.

1.2 A valuation is free and you are under no obligation to accept it.

2. Seven-day price hold

2.1 Once we have made you an offer, we will hold that price for seven days from the date we give it to you.

2.2 The price hold applies provided the vehicle, its mileage and its paperwork match what you told us, and that its condition has not changed in the meantime.

3. Collection and inspection

3.1 Collection is free of charge. We will agree a collection time and place with you.

3.2 On collection we will check the vehicle and documents. If the vehicle differs materially from your description, we will explain why and may offer a revised price. You are free to decline a revised price, in which case no sale takes place and there is no charge to you.

4. Payment and fees

4.1 We do not charge any fees, and nothing is deducted from the agreed price.

4.2 We pay you the agreed price on the day of collection, once the vehicle and documents have been checked.

4.3 Where there is outstanding finance, part of the price is paid to the finance company to settle the agreement and the balance is paid to you.

5. Your responsibilities

5.1 You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle, or are authorised to sell it on behalf of the owner (for example, a company), and that you have the right to sell it.

5.2 You must tell us about any outstanding finance, known faults, accident damage, insurance write-off history and any mileage discrepancy.

5.3 You must provide the V5C, valid photo ID and all keys and key cards on collection, remove the vehicle from your manufacturer app account (for example the MG iSMART or BYD app) and remove personal belongings from the vehicle.

6. Cancelling

You can change your mind at any point before the vehicle is collected and payment is made, at no cost. We may also decline to buy a vehicle at any time before payment.

7. Use of this website

We try to keep the information on this website accurate, but it is for general guidance only. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

7.2 Sell My Chinese Car is an independent vehicle buyer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer. Vehicle make and model names are used only to describe the vehicles we buy.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
